Calling cards "don't leave home without one"

Caught without a calling card left them at home and this is what happened.
On the weekend I met a person exchanging a quarter for a shopping cart at the local grocery store parking lot, gave one big smile and started chatting, talked about how I was looking for work, this lead to the fact that they needed someone to set up Quick Books, for a small business owner! Gave my contact information, got a call today from this lead. I received a temporary job; this is so exciting knowing that this can lead to more doors opening for me. The conversation on the phone has given me an in to the local art group as will "more contacts". It’s a start and it helps build up the confident needed when talking to the next stranger about what kind of work I’m looking for.
One thing that I learned was to put calling cards in my purse, car, and pocket of my coat so I won’t be caught without one again, I felt very unprofessional giving my information to this person on a slip of paper so remember not to leave home without one.
Happy Job Hunting:)

Networking

Networking:

Who should you network with when looking for the job that is not advertised?

Its everyone that you can get to listen to what it is that you want, they may know something about an unadvertised job, someone might have to be away for awhile and you just might be that person to cover for the company, people leave for all kinds of reasons making a position available that might not be advertised and in you walk with your calling card and resume and wow! you get an interview and it leads to work! So let your friends, family, and people in your coffee club, or any other group you belong to know you are looking. Don't belong to a group then get out there and join an origination that you enjoy, or volunteer! Just get out there you’re never going to get that job sitting at home.

Happy hunting

Job Hunting

Job hunting this is a big challenge in today's times; I am one of many people that is out there looking for that great opportunity to come my way. It is not without hard work and perseverance, I found myself at home frustrated at the lack of advertised job market, there seems to be a thousand applicants to every job listing. I now have the tools to get that hidden job, not to worry it’s out there, I joined a job finding club, what a uplifting why for us job seekers to get on board with marketing are self's I learned about a calling card! How to send a resume e-mail without those attachments and don't get me started on networking. If you are one of those looking for work please find out about a job finding club in your area and you too can get out of the rut of job hunting and work together with your networking buddy's happy hunting and see you soon in the office. :)
